Where are the geographic shipping restrictions? How does the shipping process work? Who takes ownership in the fulfillment portion of the transaction?
General answer: WineChain partners with leading worldwide carriers to provide our customers with a selection of shipping options at the desired speed and cost with high reliability and quality of service.
For most EU countries we will deliver within 2-5 business days, depending on the shipping option available and selected. WineChain will launch with shipping in 31 countries, including: United States, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Switzerland.
Some countries are more difficult to ship to due to local regulations and restrictions. We continue to broaden our coverage area. The current list that we do not ship yet but plan to add during 2023 includes another 16 countries: Ireland, Norway, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Peru, South Africa.
US-specific answer: Before Winechain establishes our facility in the US (ETA: Q4-2023), US wineries should be able to store / process orders / ship within the US, at least for the first 6-9 months of operations. We cannot onboard wineries and create NFTs unless that shipping capability from the winery is clear and confirmed. If the US wineries want to sell to customers in EU, they should be able to organize the inbound shipment to our EU warehouse in France, duties and delivery paid.
